Prior to the death of John George Schumm, the land was divided among his children as follows: Katherine (Mrs. Schueler) received the farm where Ned Alspaugh now lives; George M. Schumm, the farm where Ronnie Dietrich now lives, the original homestead site; Fred Schumm, the farm of Aaron Buechner, now owned by Henry Dietrich; George Ludwig Schumm, where Lois Schumm resides; and Johann Jacob, the farm where Rudolph Allmandinger now lives.
